Forest School

Forest School is integral to the broad and balanced curriculum for all children at Seething & Mundham Primary.  The children have hands-on experiences in a natural environment which follow their own interests and lines of enquiry.  They can be creative and it increases their confidence as they problem-solve and learn to manage risks.

We are extremely lucky to have a wonderful Forest school area, which includes a pond, wild-life area, mud kitchen, fire pit area, den building area and a swing/rope area.  All children have a weekly Forest School session of about an hour.  Teachers work with Forest School leaders every year to develop a curriculum which is effectively linked from classroom to Forest School and back.

Sessions for each class are run weekly by our wonderful, specialist Forest school staff, Mrs Denmark and Mrs Norton.
